Snowman Candle
1. When lighting the candle for the first time, burn until the wax forms a pool completely across the entire vessel. this prevents tunneling and will create an even burn. to utilize most of the wax. this will also extend the life of the candle. the burn will take up to 1-4 hours. it will be worth the effort to burn properly. if perchance your candle does not burn properly and should tunnel, blow it out. take a paring knife and very carefully carve away the wax around the wick going out approximately 1/2 ' from wick. keep the carving of the wax shallow. use much caution to not damage the wick while carving.
2. trim the wick before each burn. approximately 1/4' and nothing less than that. this creates a slow burn of the wax and also not as hot of a flame. if the wick is not maintained, the wick can burn too hot and bust a glass jar or char a wooden bowl. a smaller wick eliminates mushrooming of the wick with less soot and smoke.
3. keep from burning a candle around a drafty or windy places causing an uneven burn and also eliminate the scent of the candle. do not burn around flapping curtains or loose fabric or material. avoid direct sunlight. burn only on a smooth, stable and safe surface.
4.as tempting as it is, do not burn clear to the bottom of the vessel or jar. leave approximately 1/4-1/2" of wax at the bottom as the wooden vessels may get charred with risk of fire or the glass jars can break. we do not stand behind any misuse of burning candles from Farmhouse Wicks.
5. please enjoy your candle. we do all we can to keep them safe to burn with choosing healthy 100% soy wax and try for chemical free fragrance oils. lets work together for a safe burn.
