We often overlook many things. How frequently do we have the opportunity to witness the inner workings of a business?
Today, I am pondering about the creators of fragrances who are behind these companies. The amazing scents must have an origin. The processes behind these scenes remain largely unknown to us.
I would like to give a huge applause for the work they go to to capture these scents. We are working with autumn scents and often these scents are a combination of different scents to form a single scent such as Autumn Cottage, Bonfire Embers, Harvest Fig, Harvest Fig and Suede and Smoke, our new lively scents of Autumn.
The way they infuse these oils with scents and package them in bottles for us entrepreneurs is truly remarkable.
Now, let's move on to the next stage, which is our work.
We are excited for the arrival of these tiny 1 oz. bottles of scented oils, anticipating the moment we can blend them with melted wax. After waiting patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) for a couple of weeks to let them mature, we finally ignite them using a match. Personally, I prefer to burn them in our compact bathroom. If the fragrance doesn't perform well in a small area, I doubt it will be effective in a larger space. I am also optimistic that it will fill our modest, worn-out bathroom with a pleasant scent, transforming it into a more inviting space for indulgent baths. ; )
What a delight when i have been out of the house and come back in and smell the captivating scents come wafting through the house. Oh yes, I know then, a winner is on the way.
Being a candle maker comes with its challenges...not every scent is a hit. I'd estimate that only about half of them meet the standard. It's a process to discover the suppliers that offer top-quality scented oils. Some brand names intrigue me, sparking high expectations, only to end up let down. There are times when I feel like I'm falling short, given the learning curve involved. The size of the wick per container plays a crucial role in achieving a strong scent throw. Thus, a significant amount of effort, sweat, and near tears are invested in this candle-making journey.
The scents that emerged victorious evoke autumn vibes for me, and I am eagerly anticipating them. Additionally, I reflect on the unknown individual who curated these scents.
